JKAACL organises interaction with noted writer
Jammu, Feb 22: The J&K Academy of Art, Culture, and Languages (JKAACL) organised “Meet-the-Author” programme to have a direct interaction with Bashir Bhadarwahi, renowned Kashmiri and Urdu writer today at KL Sehgal Hall Jammu.
Bashir Bhadarwahi who wrote 46 books in Kashmiri and Urdu Language alongwith several articles on different regional languages served on many position in JK Government.
Prof Shad Ramzan convenor for Kashmir Sahitya Akademi was guest of honour on the occasion who extolled JKAACL for having unique kind of direct interaction of the writer with the audience which aid the exploration of various life aspects and works which act as a creative inspiration for the author/writer.
At the very outset, Secretary JKAACL Bharat Singh Manhas said that Bashir Bhadherwahi- legendary figure of Kashmiri and Urdu language has been very popular in his entire career due to his great poetries. JKAACL feels proud to honour such legendary writers of our region who have created a niche in their respective fields and brought laurel for the UT of J &K, he added.
He further informed that JKAACL has started this series to promote direct interaction with author whom “we have read in books.”
The event was presided over by Shohab Anayat Malik HOD of Urdu Department, University of Jammu who lauded the efforts of JKAACL and said that JKAACL is leaving no stone unturned in present time for upliftment of art literature and culture of the UT. He congratulated the JKAACL Secretary for taking such initiative in Jammu.
