Srinagar, Dec 12: Taking forward the nationwide campaign “Apki Poonji, Apka Adhikar - Your Money, Your Right”, J&K UTLBC conducted Mega Financial Facilitation Camps in the districts of Pulwama, Baramulla, Budgam and Bandipora to help people identify, verify and reclaim their unclaimed bank deposits, dormant insurance amounts, inactive mutual funds, unclaimed shares, dividends and other long-pending financial assets.

The camps are part of the campaign launched by the Department of Financial Services under the Finance Ministry, in coordination with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI), Insurance Regulatory and Development Authority of India (IRDAI), Securities and Exchange Board of India (SEBI), and the Investor Education and Protection Fund Authority (IEPFA) under the Ministry of Corporate Affairs, said a press release.

The Mega Financial Facilitation Camp was organised by the Lead District Office Pulwama, drawing a good response from residents seeking support in tracing and reclaiming their unclaimed financial assets.

The Lead Bank Office, Baramulla organised a Mega District-Level Facilitation Camp. Held in collaboration with the district administration and participating banks, the event drew large number of citizens seeking assistance in tracing and settling their unclaimed financial assets regulated by institutions such as RBI, IRDAI, and PFRDA. District Baramulla accounts for 126840 unclaimed accounts amounting to Rs 24.20 crores. The Lead Bank Office, Budgam, was in collaboration with the Reserve Bank of India (RBI) Jammu and various financial institutions. The Lead Bank Office, Bandipora conducted a Mega Facilitation Camp that witnessed encouraging public participation along with the presence of senior officials from all major banks.
