J&K to hold selection trials for sub-junior hockey nationals

Srinagar, Jun 30: In a bid to identify young hockey talent for the upcoming national championship, Hockey Jammu and Kashmir has announced selection trials for the UT’s Sub-Junior Men’s team.

As per a statement issued on Monday, the trials, scheduled for July 2 and 3 at K.K. Hakku Stadium in Jammu, will determine the squad that will represent J&K in the 15th All India Sub-Junior National Hockey Championship to be held in Chennai, Tamil Nadu, from July 28 to August 8, 2025.

Issuing important guidelines for participants, as per the statement, players must be registered with Hockey India, and players must bring valid ID proof (Aadhaar Card).

It has also advised all players to report at the venue on time and in proper sports kit and that only eligible sub-junior male players as per Hockey India guidelines will be allowed to participate.
