J&K Thang-Ta team finishes 2nd at Junior National Championship

Srinagar, Dec 25: The Jammu and Kashmir Thang-Ta team delivered an outstanding performance at the 31st Junior National Thang-Ta Championship 2025 held in Guwahati, Assam, securing an overall second position with a rich haul of 11 gold, 11 silver and 8 bronze medals, bringing laurels to the Union Territory at the national level.

This splendid achievement, as per a statement issued on Thursday reflects the dedication of our athletes, coaches, and officials, who represented Jammu & Kashmir with great pride and honour on the national stage.

“The Jammu & Kashmir Thang-Ta Association extendes its heartfelt gratitude to the Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council for its continuous support, encouragement, and guidance, which played a vital role in this successful campaign. Without the support of J&K Sports Council it’s never been possible to achieve this Historic Success,” read the statement.

This achievement is a proud moment for the entire sporting fraternity of Jammu & Kashmir and serves as a strong inspiration for young martial artists to pursue excellence in Thang-Ta.
