J&K Taekwondo team bags 5 bronze medals
Srinagar, May 1: The Jammu & Kashmir Taekwondo contingent delivered a commendable performance at the 1st Federation Cup 2024-25 held at the Divisional Sports Complex in Nashik, Maharashtra, clinching five bronze medals across various age categories.
The event, as per a statement issued on Thursday, organised under the aegis of World Taekwondo, India Taekwondo, and the Asian Taekwondo Union, saw the participation of athletes between April 25 and 29, 2025.
Among the J&K’s medal winners were Sehra Jan Sub-Junior, Bronze, Zaid Zubair Sub-Junior, Bronze Inaaya, Sub-Junior, Bronze Fabian Wani (Cadet) – Bronze and Zainab Junior Bronze.
The team also had spirited participation from Jannat Wani (Sub-Junior), Sadakat (Cadet), Burhan Bhat (Senior), and Anoosh Salaam (Senior).
The contingent was ably led by Coach Muzaffar Sheikh.
