Srinagar, July 5: Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha Friday said that Jammu and Kashmir was set to become a global socio-economic development model.

Meeting Ambassador of the Czech Republic to India, Eliska Zigova at Raj Bhawan in Srinagar, LG Sinha said.

“J&K is on the verge of becoming a notable success story among Indian states and a global model for socio-economic development.”

He discussed with the Czech Republic Ambassador the investment potential of J&K in diverse sectors like industries, tourism, start-ups, handloom, handicrafts, food processing, agriculture, and allied sectors.

The LG also spoke on the historic and transformative changes that J&K is witnessing under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

He invited trade and business leaders from the Czech Republic to explore the limitless opportunities that J&K has to offer.

LG Sinha said that the progressive reforms and futuristic policy interventions had positioned J&K as the preferred destination for investors across the world.

“J&K is set on a path of growth that will bring about momentous and historic changes. The government has taken decisive and bold measures to remove barriers obstructing development, propelling J&K towards becoming resilient and self-reliant,” he said.

Ambassador of the Czech Republic to India, Eliska Zigova reiterated the commitment of the Czech Republic to deepen the partnership with India, with a dedicated focus on nurturing mutual growth and collaboration.

Honorary Consul of the Czech Republic in Chandigarh for J&K, Guneet Chaudhary; Third Secretary in the Embassy of Czech Republic, Adam Podhola; Principal Secretary to LG, Mandeep Kumar Bhandari; Commissioner Secretary, Tourism Department, Yasha Mudgal and Managing Director JKTPO, Khalid Jahangir were also present during the meeting.
