Srinagar, Oct 19: Jammu and Kashmir Private Hospital & Dialysis Centres Association (JKPHDA) has extended a warm welcome to Omar Abdullah as the new Chief Minister and congratulated Sakina Itoo on her appointment as Health Minister of Jammu and Kashmir.

Faizan Mir, President of JKPHDA Kashmir division, expressed optimism about the future of the health sector under Itoo's leadership. "We anticipate that the new Health Minister will elevate the health sector to greater heights. Her expertise will be instrumental in upgrading healthcare services and addressing critical issues faced by private hospitals," Mir stated.

Highlighting the role of private healthcare, Mir added, "The private health sector in J&K not only provides essential medical services but also contributes significantly to the region's economic development and employment generation."

Sandeep, President of JKPHDA Jammu division, emphasised the impact of private healthcare on the general public. "The facilities provided by the private health sector have brought substantial relief to the masses. Undoubtedly, the private sector has reshaped the healthcare landscape in J&K," he said.

Sandeep further noted Itoo's previous accomplishments, including her recognition as the best MLA in 2012 for her contributions to her constituency. He expressed the need for continued support and encouragement from the new Health Minister.

Dr Masood ul Hassan, General Secretary of the association, conveyed high expectations from the new Health Minister. "We hope that various issues facing the private health sector will be addressed promptly and effectively under her leadership," he said.

The JKPHDA looks forward to a collaborative relationship with the new administration to further improve healthcare services in Jammu and Kashmir.
