Srinagar, Dec 31: To thwart anti-national activities, the Jammu and Kashmir Police introduced cash rewards ranging from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 12.50 lakh for individuals providing crucial information on various fronts.

The initiative, aimed at curbing trans-border tunnels, drones, narcotics, and terrorist activities is designed to encourage citizens to actively contribute to maintaining security and peace in the region.

As per the official statement posted on X by J&K Police, individuals willing to share information could do so confidentially with the concerned district Superintendents of Police.

A substantial reward of Rs 5 lakh awaits those who provide actionable intelligence on the existence of trans-border tunnels employed by anti-national elements.

Drones across the Border

A reward of Rs 3 lakh is earmarked for individuals who spot drones originating from across the border and provide details about the recipients of these unmanned aerial vehicles.

Inter-State Narcotics Modules

For information leading to the identification and dismantling of inter-state narcotics modules, a reward of Rs 2 lakh has been announced.

Communication with Anti-National Elements

Individuals sharing details about people engaging with Pakistan-based terrorists, separatists in jails, or communicating with terrorist handlers across the border, including those branding citizens as informers, stand to receive rewards ranging from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 12.50 lakh.

Incitement to Terrorism

A reward of Rs 1 lakh would be granted to those providing information about individuals inciting and encouraging others to join terrorist ranks or take up arms.

The police emphasise that the success of operations leading to arrests or combating terrorism, as categorised under A, B, and C, would determine the specific cash reward amount, ranging from Rs 2 lakh to Rs 12.50 lakh.

This initiative seeks to foster public participation in maintaining the security and integrity of Jammu and Kashmir.
