JK Police IRP 8th Battalion organise civic action programme

Ganderbal, Aug 30: In a noble initiative aimed at supporting education and community engagement, the Jammu and Kashmir Police, IRP 8th Battalion, organised a Civic Action Programme at Government High School Theeru, near Manasbal, on 29th August 2025. The event witnessed the distribution of stationery kits to 80 students from eight different schools in the surrounding areas, said a press release.

The Programme was conducted as part of JK Police’s ongoing efforts to build stronger bonds with the local community, particularly by supporting students. The distributed kits included essential educational materials to assist students in their academic pursuits.

The event was attended by Raj Kumar, Commandant IRP 8th Bn, Chief Education Officer (CEO) and Zonal Education Officer (ZEO), alongwith senior officers from IRP 8th Battalion, who interacted with the students and staff, emphasizing the importance of education and discipline in shaping a better future.
