JK people are fighting for “weakest ever” Assembly today, says Sajad Lone

Srinagar, Oct 01: J&K Peoples’ Conference (JKPC) president Sajad Gani Lone Tuesday said that people of Jammu & Kashmir are fighting for weakest ever Assembly today, which will have no powers.

Speaking to reporters in north Kashmir’s Kupwara, Lone expressed that though it is a moment of glad to vote and elect representatives after a gap of over ten years, but at the same time it is a reality that there is an element of humiliation.

“I have already told that it is a moment of happiness that people will get their elected representatives through ballot exercise, but at the same time it is a reality there is an element of humiliation. When we fought past elections we were fighting for a powerful Assembly, but we are fighting for a weakest ever Assembly today, the powerless Assembly,” Lone said.

He however appealed electorates of his constituency to vote for his party, and make Peoples’ Conference winner.
