J&K Peace Foundation to host Independence Day Celebration

Srinagar, Aug 14: The historic Ghantaghar at Lal Chowk, Srinagar, resonated with patriotic fervour today as the J&K Peace Foundation, in collaboration with the Swadesh Sanatan Sangh, announced the grand celebration of Azadi Ka Amrit Kumbh Mohatsav through a press conference.

A statement said that the event, scheduled for August 15 at 5:00 PM, will pay tribute to the valour of India’s freedom fighters and mark 78 years of independence with messages of unity and harmony.

Organisers have urged the people of Jammu and Kashmir to gather at Lal Chowk in large numbers, transforming the heart of the city into a vibrant symbol of national pride. Leaders from diverse religious backgrounds will address the gathering, emphasising that India’s strength lies in its cultural and spiritual diversity, the statement said.
