Jammu, Dec 8: The Jammu & Kashmir Trade Promotion Organization (JKTPO) participated in the 19th edition of the Punjab International Trade Expo (PITEX), held at Ranjit Avenue, Amritsar, from December 4 to 8, 2025.

The JKTPO sponsored 36 artisans, exporters, FPOs and women entrepreneurs from both Jammu and Kashmir divisions, who showcased region’s rich artistry and cultural heritage.

The display included Pashmina shawls, Sozni and Crewel embroidery, leather and woollen products, stoles, Tilla work, Basohli Pashmina and world-renowned GI-tagged Kashmiri saffron, dry fruits, dried vegetables, honey and Rajmash from the Jammu region. The pavilion received overwhelming participation from over five lakh visitors from India and abroad, said a press release.

The five day event generated sales worth over Rs 1.36 crore and secured 391 business leads with prominent business houses, promising substantial economic benefits for the artisans and entrepreneurs of J&K. The expo hosted exhibitors from across India and abroad, featuring the participants from 17 Indian states along with several international representatives who showcased a diverse range of products. The success of the Jammu & Kashmir Pavilion at PITEX 2025 underscores JKTPO’s commitment towards enhancing market access for the local artisans and entrepreneurs, fostering both B2B and B2C engagements. The initiative continues to bridge cultures, support livelihoods and drive economic growth across the Union Territory.
