Jammu, Nov 14: Field Office of Union Ministry has approved 6 applications from Jammu & Kashmir for participating in the Indian International Trade Fair (IITF) being organised at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi from Nov 14, 2024 to Nov 27, 2024, to promote marketing avenues including Business to Business and Business to Consumer.

Two applicants have also been selected from Ladakh. They are selected out of the total 150 application received online and allotted free stalls at the exhibition.

Participation in the exhibition make the units improve their sales volume, understand the current trends in the market and prepare them to be champions in their field. This has been made possible as per the direction of G. Velladurai, Joint Director, IEDS, through PMS section of MSME-DFO Jammu handled by D.K. Tyagi IEDS, Assistant Director.

MSME-DFO Jammu, Field Office of Union Ministry of MSME implements various schemes and activities for the benefit of MSE’s of Jammu & Kashmir.

Procurement and Marketing Support scheme is one of them. As per the scheme guidelines the MSE’s are eligible to claim reimbursement of 80 to 100 % stall charges, publicity expenditures, and travelling expenditure for participation in about 250 exhibition or trade fairs approved by Union Ministry of MSME. All the applications are received online only without any manual intervention and processed online. It is also to mention here that maximum 60 units can participate in any of the approved exhibitions.
