J&K LG Manoj Sinha casts vote in Ghazipur Uttar Pradesh
Srinagar, June 01: Lieutenant Governor Jammu & Kashmir Manoj Sinha casted vote at his native village Ghazipur Uttar Pradesh today.
He urged all to vote in huge turnout and strengthen democracy in the country by using their franchise.
“Cast my vote in Ghazipur this morning. I urge all voting today to turnout in record numbers and strengthen our democracy by exercising their franchise,” Office of LG J&K on X quoted Manoj Sinha as having said.
Sinha was appointed the Lieutenant Governor of Jammu and Kashmir by the President of India, a day after G. C. Murmu resigned. On August 07, 2020, Sinha completed his oath of office.
Pertinently polling began on Saturday for 57 seats in eight states/UT in the seventh and final phase of India’s mammoth electoral exercise.
The 57 seats, including 13 reserved for SCs and three for STs, are in Uttar Pradesh and Punjab (13 each), West Bengal (9), Bihar (8), Odisha (6), Himachal Pradesh (4), Jharkhand (3), and Chandigarh (1).
