J&K legislators different in ideology, united in action: BJP legislator
Srinagar, Nov 5: The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) legislator Ranbir Singh Pathania on Tuesday said that all the members in the house were fighting because of the ideological difference however they all remain united in actions for the prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir.
Talking to reporters on the sidelines of the session, the BJP legislator Ranbir Singh Pathania said the elected members in the house had nothing personal against each other.
"We are all friends and we all have to work together for the prosperity of Jammu and Kashmir. It is the battle of ideas in the House as the members can have ideological differences with each other but we all remain united in actions to make J&K prosperous," he said.
Referring to the obituary references of the house, Pathania said it was a good gesture that all the members cutting across the party lines recognised the contribution of the leaders who are not among us today.
Earlier, during the proceedings of the house, he raised a point of order and questioned the legitimacy of the Peoples Democratic Party’s (PDP) resolution on the restoration of Article 370.
He interrupted the obituary reference session and said the resolution brought by PDP members Waheed-ur-Rehman Parra, Muhammad Fayaz Mir, and Muhammad Rafiq was not formally submitted to the assembly but was quoted verbatim in the media.
“Is it not the contempt of this house?” Pathania said.
He said that the media carried the full text of the resolution before it had officially been presented for discussion in the assembly.
"I urge media persons not to report things which are not part of the business," Pathania said.
