J&K LA passes Appropriation Bills

Jammu, Mar 25: J&K Legislative Assembly Tuesday passed the bill authorising the payment and appropriation of Rs 14,03,09,98,83,000 from and out of the consolidated fund of the Union Territory of J&K for the services of the Financial Year 2025-26 through voice vote.

This included Rs 9,63,36,94,03,000 voted by the Legislative Assembly for 36 departments and Rs 4,39,73,04,80,00 charged on the consolidated fund.

The House also passed the bill authorising the payment and appropriation of Rs 62,42,33,61,000 (supplementary grant) out of the consolidated fund of the Union Territory of J&K for the Financial Year 2024-25 through voice vote.

CM Omar Abdullah moved the bills for consideration and passage.

Besides, the House passed the Grants on Demand Number 2 (SRE Part) for the year 2025-26 amounting Rs 162.21 crore and Supplementary Demand for Grants for the year 2024-2025 amounting Rs 69.33 crore by voice vote.

The grants were introduced by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah in the House and presented by Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather.
