Srinagar, May 25: The Jammu & Kashmir Junior Softball teams (Boys & Girls) have been finalised for the 43rd Junior National Softball Championship, scheduled to be held at Punjab University, Chandigarh, from May 29 to June 2, 2025.

As per a statement issued by J&K Softball Association, the selections were made on Sunday at Bakshi Stadium, Srinagar, by the Screening Committee of the J&K Sports Council, led by Council member Kabra Altaf.

Ayush Singh has been appointed as J&K Boys team coach, and Ajay Singh is named as coach for the J&K Girls team, while Shaista Wani & Muneera Hassan have been assigned charge of managers for the J&K Boys & Girls teams. Siraj Ud Din Dar will accompany the team as general manager. Waseem Raja Khan, General Secretary J&K Softball Association, applauded the tremendous support of the J&K Sports Council for the promotion & development of the Olympic sport of softball in Jammu & Kashmir.

A 21 (twenty-one) days residential coaching camp, which was organised by Jammu & Kashmir Sports Council under the supervision of reputed NIS softball coaches at Polo Ground Srinagar, was started on May 6 and will end on May 26, 2025.

The 43rd Junior National Softball Championship is being organised by the Chandigarh Softball Association under the auspices of the Softball Association of India. The J&K UT Junior team is participating in the championship under the banner of the J&K Softball Association and the J&K Sports Council.
