Srinagar, Aug 12: G M Shaheen, J&K President of JD (U) met with Dr Abdul Latif Alkindi, President of Jamiat Ahle Hadith, and his team to discuss the current scenario in Jammu and Kashmir and explore various development initiatives, a press release said.

The discussions focused on critical areas such as healthcare, education, and combating drug abuse.

“The conversation emphasised the urgent need for the development of hospitals and schools in the region to improve healthcare and educational infrastructure. Both leaders expressed deep concern about the rising drug menace in the state. They agreed on the necessity of comprehensive strategies to address this issue and safeguard the youth from its detrimental effects,” the press release added.
