Srinagar, Jan 27: The Jammu and Kashmir government has announced a significant administrative reshuffle involving several senior officers in the Jammu and Kashmir Administrative Services (JKAS).

The General Administration Department (GAD) issued Government Order No. 143-JK(GAD) of 2025, detailing the transfers and postings, which take immediate effect.

Transfers and Postings:

  1. Munir-ul-Islam, Secretary of the J&K Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board, has been transferred and posted as Secretary in the Information Department.
  2. Ajaz Abdullah Saraf, Additional Transport Commissioner, has been assigned as the Chief Executive Officer/Secretary of the J&K Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Board.
  3. Dr. Firdous Ahmad Giri, Additional Director at SKIMS, Srinagar, will now serve as the Mission Director of RUSA, J&K.
  4. Qazi Sarwar, Additional Commissioner in the Divisional Commissioner’s Office, Kashmir, has been appointed as the Director of Urban Local Bodies, Kashmir.
  5. Bashir Ahmad Wani, Additional District Development Commissioner, Kulgam, has been transferred as Additional Registrar Cooperatives, Kashmir, while Altaf Ahmad Khan will take over his previous position.
  6. Sanjay Gupta, Deputy Commissioner, State Taxes (Samba), has been posted as Additional Secretary to the Government, Mining Department.
  7. Masarat Hashim, Chief Executive Officer of the Pahalgam Tourism Development Authority, has been assigned as Deputy Labour Commissioner (Central), J&K.
  8. Mridhu Salathia, Additional Mission Director of J&K Rural Livelihood Mission, Jammu, will now hold additional responsibilities as Mission Director of the National Urban Livelihood Mission (NULM).
