J&K girls clinch bronze at 18th Roll Ball National Championship in Agra

Srinagar, Oct 29: Showcasing impressive skill and teamwork, the Jammu and Kashmir girls’ Roll Ball team secured the bronze medal at the 18th Roll Ball National Championship 2025 held in Agra from October 25 to 28, while standout performer Shahzadi Eleeza Makhdoomi was felicitated by LIC of India for her exceptional display.

As per a statement issued, the remarkable performance stands as a testament to the growing strength of girls’ participation in sports across J&K and highlights the region’s commitment to gender equality and empowerment through athletics.

In a hard-fought semi-final, J&K narrowly lost to Haryana by 2–1 before sealing third place overall in the U-14 category.

Minister for Youth Services & Sports, Satish Sharma, congratulated the team for their outstanding sports display.
