J&K: Four cops injured in escort vehicle accident in Jitendra Singh's cavalcade
Srinagar, Sep 10: At least four cops were injured after the security escort vehicle they were traveling in experienced a burst in its front tires, leading to an accident this morning in Kathua district, officials said.
Quoting official sources, news agency NVI reported that a vehicle carrying an advance party of ten personnel who were a part of escort to Union Minister Dr Jitendra Singh's cavalcade crashed after its front tires burst while they were moving from Preet Nagar Gangyal for a public rally in Bilawar.
They said that the accident resulted in injuries to four personnel, identified as Head Constable Jaiveer Singh, Head Constables Yudhveer Singh, Suresh Patil, and Mohinder Singh.
They said that the other personnel sustained minor injuries and that all the injured personnel received first aid and treatment at CHC Bilawar.
Meanwhile, the injured are currently in stable condition, and further details are awaited.
