JK Cement enters Kashmir market with its flagship JK Super Cement brand
Srinagar, Aug 13: Saifco Cements Pvt. Ltd, a subsidiary of JK Cement Ltd — one of India’s leading cement manufacturers — today announced the launch of its flagship JK Super Cement brand in Kashmir, marking a major milestone in the company’s northern expansion. The move follows JK Cement’s recent acquisition in the region and aligns with its vision to boost infrastructure and economic growth in Jammu & Kashmir.
JK Super Cement, known for its superior strength and durability, will now be manufactured and distributed across key districts in the Valley, improving availability for infrastructure projects and individual consumers.
“JK Super Cement’s entry into Kashmir is a natural extension of our long-term strategy in the North. With the region witnessing rapid infrastructure and housing development, local production allows us to serve this demand efficiently,” said Dr. Raghavpat Singhania, Managing Director, JK Cement Ltd. Joint Managing Director and CEO, Madhavkrishna Singhania, added that the initiative goes beyond cement supply, aiming to create jobs, develop skills, and build a self-reliant ecosystem to support Kashmir’s growth for decades.
Saifco Cements will begin full-scale distribution in districts including Baramulla, Kupwara, Bandipora, Srinagar, Budgam, Ganderbal, Anantnag, Kulgam, Shopian, and Pulwama. The company plans to strengthen market reach through channel partners, direct engagement with builders and contractors, and technical training to ensure smooth adoption.
