J&K BOPEE suspends MBBS, BDS selection list due to ‘technical issue’

Srinagar, Aug 19: The J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE) today put on hold the provisional selection list for the MBBS/BDS 2025 dated 18 August. The decision has been taken due to a “technical glitch”. Aspirants who had featured in the selection list expressed anguish over the suspension and demanded that the fresh list be issued soon.

The notification No. 100-BOPEE of 2025, was made available on the official website on August 19, 2025. Speaking to Greater Kashmir, J&K BOPEE Chairperson, Minu Mahajan said the fresh list will put up on the website of the Board by afternoon of 20 August. “There was some issue and we did not want any erroneous admissions,” she said. She added that all admission processes in all medical colleges and dental colleges were suspended till a fresh list was issued by the Board.

Meanwhile, aspirants who had left their homes to complete admission formalities expressed anguish and concerns. “My name was in the selection list, and I had left for admission to GMC Kathua from Srinagar,” an aspirant said. He said J&K BOPEE must ensure that the fresh list, which is fair and transparent, is uploaded on the website at the earliest. “At least they can upload it in morning,” he urged.
