J&K Bank boosts youth entrepreneurship with Mission YUVA events in Baramulla, Rajouri
Srinagar, Sep 7: Jammu & Kashmir Bank organised successful Login Day events this week at its Zonal offices in Baramulla and Rajouri under the J&K Government’s Mission YUVA initiative, handing over sanction letters to dozens of aspiring entrepreneurs and promoting youth-led self-employment opportunities.
At Baramulla, the event was chaired by General Manager Shabir Ahmad, in the presence of DGM and Zonal Head Tanveer Ahmad Najar, Cluster Heads Mehboob Ellahi Khan (Sopore), Abdul Majid Bhat (Kupwara), Sheikh Mohammad Muzaffar (Bandipora), and other bank officials. During the session, 35 sanction letters were formally handed over to beneficiaries to support their entrepreneurial ventures.
Speaking at the event, Shabir Ahmad said, “J&K Bank is proud to stand with the youth of Baramulla in their journey towards entrepreneurship.
Through Mission YUVA, we are not just providing loans but enabling young dreamers to build businesses and create opportunities for others. Our continued support will help them turn their aspirations into successful ventures and contribute to the growth and prosperity of the region.” He also pledged continued collaboration with the Government to ensure the initiative’s success.
In Rajouri, the Bank collaborated with the District Administration to organize Udyami Yuva Day at Dak Bungalow, with Additional Deputy Commissioner Chander Prakash as chief guest. General Manager Mohammad Muzaffar Wani was present along with Deputy Director Employment Mohammad Nawaz, Zonal Head Rajeev Kumar Digra, Cluster Head Deepak Sharma, Lead District Manager Ravinder Singh, and branch heads from across the district. On this occasion, 30 sanction letters were handed over to beneficiaries.
ADC Chander Prakash commended J&K Bank for its role in processing approved Mission YUVA cases and encouraged beneficiaries to maintain financial discipline, adhere to scheme guidelines, and leverage the support to become entrepreneurs who generate employment opportunities for others.
Mohammad Muzaffar Wani highlighted the Bank’s commitment, saying, “J&K Bank remains fully committed to supporting the Government’s vision under Mission YUVA. We are working to ensure that young entrepreneurs receive the financial guidance and support needed to build sustainable enterprises. The positive feedback on our paperless and hassle-free application process motivates us to continue empowering youth with the right tools and support.”
The events also featured interactive sessions where beneficiaries appreciated the ease of accessing scheme benefits through the Mission YUVA app and lauded assistance in preparing Detailed Project Reports. Many expressed gratitude for the Bank’s efforts in removing procedural hurdles and enabling them to pursue entrepreneurial ventures without delays.
