J&K Assembly polls: Congress releases another list of 19 candidates
Srinagar, Sep 09: The Central Election Committee (CEC) of Congress on Monday released the list of 19 candidates for different segments contesting upcoming Assembly elections in Jammu and Kashimr.
As per the list, the CEC has given a mandate of Basohli to Choudhary Lal Singh and R S Pura-Jammu South to Raman Bhalla.
The duo was the party's candidates for the recently held Lok Sabha elections, but faced defeat against the BJP candidates including Dr Jitendra Singh and Jugal Kishore respectively.
Besides the list includes Irshad Ab Gani – 6 Langate, Haji Abdul Rashid Dar – 7 Sopore, Adv Irfan Hafeez Lone – 12 Wagoora-Kreeri, Summit Mangotra – 59 Udhampur West, Mool Raj – 62 Ramnagar (SC), Ms Kajal Rajput – 63 Bani, Dr Manohar Lal Sharma – 64 Billawar, Ch Lal Singh – 65 Basoli, Thakur Balbir Singh – 65 Jasrota, Rakesh Choudhary Jatt – 68 Hiranagar, Yashpal Kundal – 69 Ramgarh (SC), Krishan Dev Singh – 70 Samba, Neeraj Kundan – 72 Bishna (SC), Raman Bhalla – 74 RS Pura Jammu South, T S Tony – 75 Bahu, Yogesh Sawhney – 76 Jammu East, Balbir Singh – 77 Nagrota, Thakur Manmohan Singh – 78 Jammu West, and Mula Ram 80 Marh (SC).

The Election Commission of India (ECI) has announced three-phased Assembly elections in Jammu & Kashmir, which will be held on September 18 & 25, and October 01. The vote count will be done on October 08.
