J&K Assembly elections | Work in coordination to ensure safe induction, timely de-induction of CAPFs: ADGP Jammu
Jammu, Sep 11: Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Jammu zone, Anand Jain Wednesday directed the officials to work in close coordination to ensure the safe induction and timely de-induction of Central Armed Paramilitary Force (CAPF) companies in the region.
He issued these directions while chairing a high-level meeting this evening, to discuss and review the induction and de-induction plan of CAPF companies for the first and second phase of the general elections to the Legislative Assembly-2024.
In the meeting, held at the Police Control Room Jammu, senior officers from CAPF and Police, besides CAPF representatives, participated to ensure smooth coordination and execution of the plan.
During the meeting, ADGP Jammu emphasized the importance of proper deployment and logistics management for the upcoming electoral process. Finalization of routes and timelines for the arrival and stationing of CAPF companies across sensitive and crucial zones for the first and second phases of assembly elections was discussed during the meeting.
Besides, robust security mechanisms, during the induction and de-induction phases, to maintain law and order and provide a secure environment for election officials and the general public, were briefed by ADGP Jammu.
Jain stressed the need for seamless coordination between the Police and CAPF for intelligence sharing, operational planning, and efficient execution.
Arrangements for the accommodation, logistics and welfare of the CAPF personnel were reviewed to ensure that they were adequately supported during their deployment.
ADGP Jammu urged the officers to keep communication lines open at all levels to address any challenges or contingencies swiftly.
The meeting concluded with actionable directives for the timely execution of the induction and de-induction plan, with specific roles and responsibilities assigned to officers involved in the process.
