J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association launches coaching camp in Mendhar
Mendhar, July 6: The Jammu and Kashmir Amateur Kabaddi Association, in collaboration with the J&K Sports Council, inaugurated a Kabaddi Summer Coaching Camp at the Government Higher Secondary School for Boys, Mendhar.
SDM Mendhar Imran Rashid and officials from the J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association officially launched the camp. The program aims to enhance skills and nurture budding kabaddi players from Jammu and Kashmir.
The camp will be conducted under the supervision of Kuldeep Kumar Gupta, General Secretary of the J&K Amateur Kabaddi Association. Overseeing the training are Mir Alam, a National Medalist; Ajay Gupta, Chief Kabaddi Coach of J&K Sports Council; and Basharat Khan, President of the District Kabaddi Association Poonch.
Speaking at the inauguration, SDM Imran Rashid emphasised the importance of promoting kabaddi, an indigenous sport, at the state level. He advocated for organising more kabaddi tournaments to increase the chances of J&K players being selected for national and international competitions.
