JD (U) anguished over loss of lives
Srinagar, May 10: J&K JD(U) President G M Shaheen has expressed deep anguish over the loss of innocent lives due to unprovoked shelling by Pakistan along the border areas.
In a statement, he strongly condemned the deliberate targeting of civilian populations and called on the government to take immediate steps to rehabilitate the affected families.
Shaheen stated that thousands of people have lost their homes and shelters due to heavy mortar shelling by Pakistan. He appealed to the government to urgently provide shelter, food, and relief to the displaced families.
He further expressed grief over the loss of brave citizens, including Additional District Development Commissioner (ADDC) of Rajouri, Dr Raj Kumar Thapa, who was killed in the line of duty. “My heartfelt condolences go out to the bereaved families,” Shaheen said.
