Srinagar, Apr 15: Joint Director (JD) School Education Department north Kashmir districts on Tuesday censured all the Chief Education Officers (CEOs) and concerned Zonal Education Officers (ZEOs) for issuing transfers orders on internal arrangement basis.

As per the order issued by JD north Kashmir Hakeem Tanveer Ahmad, it has been stated that various complaints were pouring in from different quarters that CEOs and ZEOs have issued some orders by making internal arrangement, deployment, attachment of teaching and non-teaching staff without consulting their higher authorities.

"This is in contravention to the Government Order No:-304-JK(Edu) of 2024 Dated August 1 of 2024," the order reads.

The action comes at a time when the CEOs and ZEOs have internally shifted the attendance of scores of teachers under the guise of internal arrangement and have posted some blue eyed teachers and non-teaching staff as per their convenience. The CEOs and ZEOs have termed the move as rationalisation of staff in schools to meet the requirement of the students.

However, complaints are pouring in against CEOs and ZEOs that such arrangement was done only to shift the influential teachers.

As per the teachers, such orders and adjustments are being done at CEO and ZEO level as the scheduled Annual Transfer Drive (ATD) was yet to be done by the School Education Department (SED).
