Srinagar, Oct 07: The Jammu–Srinagar National Highway (NH-44), the lifeline of the Kashmir Valley, has been closed for vehicular movement following landslides, shooting stones, and mudslides at multiple locations, officials confirmed on Tuesday morning.

According to a traffic update, the highway remains blocked and is currently unsafe for travel. Meanwhile, the Mughal Road, Srinagar–Sonamarg–Gumri (SSG) Road, and Sinthan Road also remain closed due to heavy snow accumulation in higher reaches.
