Banihal, Feb 15: The Jammu-Srinagar National Highway (NH-44) has been restored for stranded traffic after landslides, slush, and shooting stones at multiple locations were cleared, officials said on Thursday.

The highway had been closed since Monday evening following heavy rains that triggered landslides at several points, disrupting connectivity between Jammu and Kashmir. The restoration work was carried out on a priority basis to facilitate the movement of stranded passengers and essential supplies.

Authorities have advised travelers to check for updates before commencing their journey, as weather conditions remain unpredictable.
