Jammu-Srinagar highway open for traffic despite rains in Ramban

Srinagar, Feb 20: Traffic is plying on Jammu-Srinagar national highway despite rains in Banihal and Ramban areas of Jammu and Kashmir, officials said.

An official told Greater Kashmir that the highway remains open for two-way traffic from both Jammu and Kashmir sides.

He said that the plains in Ramban and Banihal received rains while the upper reaches including Jawahar Tunnel and Mahoo Mangit valley of sub-division Banihal experienced snowfall. 

The MeT department has predicted rains and snow in Jammu and Kashmir during the next 24 hours.
