Jammu Rly Division launches M-UTS system

Jammu, Oct 19: In view of the heavy festive rush, Jammu Railway Division has launched special Mobile Unreserved Ticketing System (M-UTS) at its various railway stations, including Jammu, Katra, Pathankot Cantt, Pathankot City, Srinagar, Budgam and Banihal, to facilitate unreserved travel.

Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (DCM), Jammu Railway Division, Uchit Singhal has stated that this system will reduce long queues at ticket counters and facilitate easy ticketing for passengers.

“This mobile ticketing service is being provided by Commercial Department employees equipped with M-UTS machines, who roam around platforms and waiting areas to provide tickets to passengers. Passengers can easily purchase tickets through mobile ticketing using Unified Payments Interface (UPI),” Singhal informed.

This facility, according to him, has been implemented at all important railway stations to avoid inconvenience to passengers during rush hours.

“This initiative has been implemented in view of the heavy rush during festivals. Passengers can easily obtain tickets. This will save time and eliminate long queues. This reflects our commitment to providing better and faster service to passengers,” Singhal said.
