Jammu, Oct 22: To enhance passenger convenience in view of the festive season, Jammu Railway Division has installed Automatic Ticket Vending Machines (ATVMs) at its important stations including Pathankot Cantt, Pathankot City, Jammu, Shahid Captain Tushar Mahajan (Udhampur) and Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Katra.

These ATVMs allow passengers to easily purchase tickets without having to stand in long queues at the counters. These machines are user-friendly, featuring a touchscreen interface, allowing passengers to book tickets at their convenience.

“Digital payment options are also available; the ATVMs support UPI and other digital payment options. Passengers can make cashless payments, making transactions faster and safer. Passengers using Railway smart cards also receive 3 percent additional value on every recharge,” Senior Divisional Commercial Manager (DCM) Jammu Railway Division, Uchit Singhal said.

These machines can be used to purchase unreserved tickets as well as platform tickets. Multi-language options are also provided, making them easily accessible to passengers from different regions.

Speaking about the facilities provided to passengers, Senior DCM Jammu Railway Division said, “By promoting the use of ATVMs, unnecessary crowding at railway stations can be controlled, creating a safe environment for all passengers.”

“Indian Railways urges passengers to take advantage of these facilities and make their journeys more comfortable and stress-free,” Singhal said.
