Srinagar, Apr 08: The Jammu and Kashmir government has deputed officials to the Union Territory of Ladakh, while it also retained some senior rung officers in the administration.

In an order issued by the General Administration Department (GAD), the services of Shafiq Ahmad, Project Officer, Wage Employment (ACD), Poonch, Jahangeer Akhone, Tehsildar, Khansahib, Rajat Sudan, BDO, Moungri and Akeel Sajjad, BDO, Changa, have been placed at the disposal of the Union territory of Ladakh on deputation basis.

The government has retained some officers in partial modification of government order no 306_JK(GAD) of 2025 dated 27.02.2025. The officers retained are Rakesh Dubey, Joint Registrar, Cooperatives (Banking and Finance), J&K; Abdul Qyume, Deputy Secretary to the Government, Housing and Urban Development Department; Mir Dawar Habib, BDO, Naidkhai and Bhushan Kumar Thathri, Doda.

According to the order, the deputation of officers shall be for a period of two years or till they are recalled. The government order further said that the “lien and promotion prospects of the officers shall remain with the General Administration Department, J&K and they shall be entitled to avail incentives as may be made available in due course of time by the UT of Ladakh.”

“Also, they shall be deemed to have been relieved with immediate effect with the directions to report to the General Administration Department, Union territory of Ladakh, for further posting,” the order read.
