Jamia Millia Islamia launches New admission cycle for distance, online programmes | details here

Srinagar, Aug 12: Jamia Millia Islamia’s Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE) has released its 2025–26 prospectus and opened admissions for various distance and online programmes. Eligible candidates can apply via jmi.ucanapply.com.

This year, the centre’s admission cycle includes postgraduate degrees in Hindi, Urdu, English, Education, Geography, History, Islamic Studies, Political Science, Public Administration, Sociology, Commerce, MBA, and MA in Human Resource Management.

The prospectus was launched last week by Vice-Chancellor Prof. Mazhar Asif and Registrar Prof. Md Mahtab Alam Rizvi, in the presence of CDOE Dean Prof. M. Moshahid Alam Rizvi and the Prospectus Committee, according to the official notice. Vice Chancellor Prof. Mazhar Asif suggested that the centre expand its learner support base across the country and increase enrolment in line with the National Education Policy.

Undergraduate courses offered include BEd, BA, BCom, BBA, and BCIBF. Postgraduate diplomas are available in Guidance and Counselling, and Geoinformatics. The CDOE also provides advanced diplomas in seven fields: Logistics and Supply Chain Management, Public Policy and Governance, International Relations and Global Governance, Educational Media Production, Mass Media in Hindi, Mass Media in Urdu, and Taxation.

Applications for non-entrance test programmes are open until 31 August 2025. For MBA and B.Ed., which require entrance tests, the last date to apply is 21 August 2025.
