Jal Shakti Deptt works reviewed in Poonch

Poonch, Feb 21: Deputy Commissioner Poonch Vikas Kundal chaired a crucial meeting to review the progress of record verification of Jal Shakti assets.

The meeting featured in-depth discussions on various land cases, with a strong emphasis on the need for their timely resolution. The Deputy Commissioner issued clear directives to Tehsildars to complete the online processing of land cases within a strict time frame of one day. This move aims to streamline operations and ensure the efficient handling of land-related matters.

All Block Development Officers (BDOs) participated in the meeting virtually, providing comprehensive updates on the scheme-wise status of works. The Deputy Commissioner further instructed that Gram Sabhas be organized at the earliest, with reports to be submitted to the Assistant Commissioner Revenue (ACR) for further evaluation.

This initiative underscores the administration's commitment to improving transparency and efficiency in managing Jal Shakti assets and resolving land-related issues in the district.

The meeting was attended by ACR, Tehsildar Haveli, Balakote, Mendhar, Executive Engineer PHE, Executive Engineer I&FC besides other concerned officers.
