Jailed Kashmir MP Engineer Rashid's bail plea to be heard on August 28

Srinagar, Aug 21: The bail plea of incarcerated Member of Parliament from north Kashmir, Engineer Rashid is being heard on August 28, sources said.

Reports said that his bail notice has been issued to the National Investigation Agency (NIA) and that the hearing will take place on August 28.

Before this, Rashid had never requested for his bail. He has been in New Delhi's Tihar Jail since 2019 after he was arrested by the National Investigation Agency (NIA) on charges of terror-funding activities, becoming the first mainstream leader to be held under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act.
