J-K: Govt sanctions Rs 14.85 crore for MLA vehicle procurement
Srinagar, Oct 22: The Transport Department of Jammu and Kashmir has sanctioned the release of Rs 14.85 crore for the procurement of 90 Mahindra Scorpio vehicles designated for the Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs).
An official order directed the concerned officers procure (90 NO.) Mahindra Scorpio Vehicles for the MLAs.
The order said that the sanction shall be subjected on the following conditions:
The Director Motor Garages/Account Officer, J&K Motor Garages shall vouchsafe the availability of funds for the purpose they are meant for.
The Department Shall make the procurement through GEM portal in terms of GFR 2017 after following due e-tendering procedures and all codal formalities.
The funds shall be utilized for the Specific purpose only without any deviation.
There should be no idle parking of the amount at all.
The Funds not be available for re-appropriation or diversion /deviation at any level .
No post of driver shall be created.
UCs/Red accounts of the advance drawal shall be furnished to the concerned quarters within the stipulated time frame by or before 31-03-2025.
The Director Motor Garages shall ensure that the advance payment being made after making the advance withdrawal of the amount is adequately secured and guaranteed, read the order.
