IUST’s DJMC hosts students of Birla School
Awantipora, Dec 9: The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) today hosted higher secondary students from Birla Open Minds International School, Pampore, at the Department of Journalism and Mass Communication (DJMC) as part of the department’s Community Connect initiative.
The students visited DJMC’s Media Lab, Community Radio Station (CRS), and Multimedia Studio, where they were introduced to hands-on media learning and production environments. The programme also included technical sessions on radio broadcasting, multimedia tools, and media production workflows.
A departmental profile video was screened during the visit, and copies of IUST’s news magazine Times Echo were distributed among the participants. The visiting students expressed appreciation for the exposure to media infrastructure and learning resources available at IUST and thanked the department for facilitating the visit.
