IUST's CIED holds strategic review meeting to boost innovation initiatives

Awantipora, May 16: The Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship Development (CIED) at Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) conducted a comprehensive review meeting of all its eight verticals at Campus III today.

The meeting brought together members and coordinators from each vertical to evaluate past performance and chart future directions.

During the session, participants reviewed activities implemented over the previous year and developed plans for upcoming programs and initiatives. Prof. Parvaiz A. Mir, Director CIED IUST Foundation, commended the team's efforts while emphasising the need to further strengthen the innovation and entrepreneurship ecosystem in the region.

Prof. Mir specifically urged coordinators to promote government schemes such as YuKTi more actively among university students and researchers. The meeting addressed several strategic priorities, including knowledge content development, capacity building of CIED members, enhancing inter-vertical collaborations, and conducting faculty awareness programs on various CIED schemes.

Detailed discussions were held regarding the process, format, and registration procedures for the YuKTi initiative, to streamline its implementation across all departments.

The meeting concluded with participants unanimously committing to enhance outreach and impact through coordinated efforts and innovative programming approaches.
