IUST to hold international conference on AYUSH

Awantipora, Oct 15: The Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) is hosting an international conference on "AYUSH for Healthy Life: Integrating Indian and Modern Systems of Medicine" from October 17-19.

The event will bring together numerous medical professionals, scholars, and practitioners from across the country and around the world to discuss the integration of traditional and modern healthcare systems.

The conference's Chief Guest will be Dr N Zaheer Ahmed, Director General of the Central Council for Research in Unani Medicine (CCRUM), and Prof. Ashraf Ganie, Director of SKIMS Srinagar, will serve as the Guest of Honour. A key highlight of the event will be a Health Mela organized in collaboration with the Unani Drugs Manufacturers Association (UDMA). During the Health Mela, free medical consultations and healthcare services will be provided to the public.

The conference is being organized by the Centre for AYUSH Science at IUST, aiming to foster collaboration between Indian and modern medical systems. Speaking about the event, Prof Shakil Ahmad Romshoo, Vice Chancellor of IUST, expressed that this initiative reflects the university's commitment to promoting holistic healthcare and expanding the reach of AYUSH practices.
