IUST organises ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ pledge event

Awantipora, Sep 26: The National Service Scheme (NSS) unit of the Islamic University of Science and Technology (IUST) organized a “Swachhata Hi Seva” pledge event today on the university campus.

The event aimed to promote cleanliness and environmental responsibility and was coordinated by NSS Program Officer Dr. Tariq Ahmad Ganaie.

The event saw active participation from several senior officials of the university, including Prof. Abdul Wahid, Registrar; Mr. Sameer Wazir, Finance Officer; and Dr. Rumaan Bashir, Controller of Examinations, alongside NSS volunteers. Prof. Abdul Wahid led the pledge-taking ceremony, reading the ‘Swachhata Hi Seva’ pledge and encouraging everyone present to commit themselves to cleanliness and contribute to the well-being of society.

Following the pledge, the NSS unit conducted a cleanliness drive at the Polytechnic wing of IUST, reinforcing the importance of maintaining a clean and hygienic environment. The event reflects IUST’s ongoing commitment to community service and the promotion of environmental sustainability.
