IUST hosts training programme on agribusiness entrepreneurship

Awantipora, Feb 26: Centre for Innovation, Entrepreneurship and Development, IUST, in collaboration with CCS National Institute of Agricultural Marketing (NIAM) Jaipur today inaugurated a three-day training program on Agripreneurship Development.

The programme is aimed to help the youth explore opportunities in agribusiness. The inaugural ceremony of the program was attended by Prof  AH Moon, Dean Academic Affairs, Prof Parvez A Mir, Director CIED, Dr Asifa Baba, Dean of Students, Industrial Consultants, Dr Touseef Ahmad, and Er Parvez Qalander.

In his inaugural address, Prof. AH Moon elucidated on the role of CIED in fostering a culture of innovation among the youth. He emphasized on the imperative of integrating technology in agriculture to unlock its full economic potential and said that agriculture and allied sectors are recognized as focus areas in the New Start-Up of Policy 2024. He urged the participants to explore the opportunities in agriculture and assured them of the necessary support by IUST.
