The collaboration was formalised during a meeting between Vice Chancellor Prof. Shakeel Ahmad Ramshoo and CBC Director Ghulam Abbas on the IUST campus. Both sides stressed the need to integrate academic expertise with focused public communication to equip communities with reliable, science-based information.

Director Abbas said Mission LiFE—Lifestyle for Environment—requires active public participation supported by clear communication. He proposed organising a major Integrated Communication and Outreach Programme (ICOP) at IUST to engage students, faculty and nearby communities on environmental sustainability, scientific innovation and government welfare schemes.
