ISRT organises seminar on patient safety in Srinagar

Srinagar, Nov 21: In a step towards patient safety in radiology, the ISRT Srinagar Academic Club organised a daylong seminar bringing together aspiring radiological students and allied health professionals from Medical Radiology and Imaging stream.

The event was attended by delegates with expertise in the field. Prof Irfan Rabbani, Principal SKIMS Bemina, was the Chief Guest and Prof Tariq Gojwari, HOD GMC Baramulla, and Ex-Dean Medical Faculty & Ex-HOD SKIMS Soura, were the Guests of Honour.

Organising Secretary Bilal Ahmad Dar welcomed the participants. Prof Sheikh Riaz Rasool, Prof Abdul Rasheed, and Prof Mohammad Farooq Mir, were welcomed and honored by Zahoor Ahmad Baba, the Patron of ISRT Srinagar Academic Club.

To foster patient safety awareness, a quiz program was conducted with participation from various institutions, including SKIMS Soura, GMC Anantnag, ANMT Baramulla, Intern SKIMS Bemina, Kashmir Institute of Paramedical Medical Science, and interns of Alrahat Diagnostic & Imaging Centre. Sheri Kashmir Institute of Medical Science students clinched the first prize, followed by ANMT Baramulla in second place and interns of Alrahat Diagnostic & Imaging Centre securing the third prize. A felicitation ceremony honored, Syed Nahida as (Outstanding Academician) in the field of Radiography and Medical Imaging, Sabrat Mushtaq, Iqra Rouf, Alsemo Altaf and Majid Yousuf (outstanding students). Firdous Nazir, Aaqib Mehraj,Shaista Hamid,Anis Qureshi Standed (outstanding Radiography Educators)and many unsung radiography professionals were Felicitated.

Chairman ISRT Srinagar Gayas Ud din Teli and Secretary Bilal A Allaie were hailed for the success of this mega academic event. Gayas Ud din said the seminar stands as a testament to the ISRT Srinagar Academic Club's unwavering commitment to promoting patient safety in radiology.
