Srinagar, Feb 26: The highly anticipated player auction for the inaugural Indian Street Premier League (ISPL) unfolded in a frenzy of bids and big money deals as franchises staked their claim on the finest tennis ball cricket talents across the nation.

In a star-studded event at the Jio Convention Centre, team owners like Amitabh Bachchan, Hrithik Roshan, and Akshay Kumar engaged in intense bidding wars to assemble their rosters for the upcoming T10 tournament.

The auction saw Abhishek Kumar Dalhor emerge as the most expensive buy, with the Amitabh Bachchan-owned 'Majhi Mumbai' shelling out a staggering Rs 27 lakh to secure the dynamic all-rounder's services. Not far behind, Hrithik Roshan's 'Bangalore Strikers' made significant acquisitions, including the seasoned Saroj Paramanik for Rs 19 lakh and the 14-year-old prodigy Sharik Yasir for Rs 3.2 lakh, the youngest player in the auction pool.

The bidding frenzy didn't stop there, as Suriya's 'Chennai Singams reinforced their batting line-up with the addition of the left-handed veteran Sumeet Dhekale for Rs 19 lakh. Promising talents like Uzair Shaikh, bagged by 'Tiigers Of Kolkata' for Rs 5.8 lakh, also caught the eye of franchises seeking to cultivate the next generation of stars.
