IRRT organises event to garner support for downtrodden

Srinagar, Apr 23: Senior members of the civil society Kashmir comprising trade, industry, journalists and writers today urged to contribute in a big way to ameliorate the lot of orphans, widows and destitute sections of the society.

They also urged the need for liberal donations to the genuine organisations and NGOs engaged in the service of humanity and upliftment of the poor and needy people irrespective of religion , region , caste and creed.

These views were echoed by the speakers at Eid Milan - a social gathering - organised by the reputed social organisation Islamic Relief and Research Trust (IRRT) under the patronage of Advocate Ab Rashid Hanjuri at Boulevard, Srinagar today. It was resolved to strengthen the rich traditions of co-existence, communal harmony and brotherhood.
