International Buddhist media conclave on September 11
New Delhi, Sep 09: The International Buddhist Confederation (IBC) and the Vivekananda International Foundation (VIF) are set to host the 2nd International Buddhist Media Conclave on September 11 in New Delhi.
Themed “Mindful Communication for Conflict Avoidance and Sustainable Development,” this event will feature Shri Baichung Bhutia, former captain of the Indian Football Team, as the Guest of Honour. Shri Gurumurthy, Chairman of the VIF, will deliver the keynote address.
The conclave will bring together media representatives from 18 countries, aiming to explore how Buddhist teachings can be integrated into modern media practices to tackle global crises and build trust in media institutions.
The event will focus on fostering ethical journalism, promoting mindful communication, and establishing a network of Buddhist media professionals across Asia.
