Interactive session of senior citizens conducted in Ganderbal
Ganderbal, Oct 24: The She Hope Society for Women Entrepreneurs, in collaboration with the District Administration and Star Knights Resort, organised an interactive session with senior citizens to celebrate and foster a sense of belonging.
The event was held at the Star Knights Resort in Ganderbal, which also sponsored the programme. Senior citizens were joined by a distinguished group of dignitaries from the district administration for a meaningful interactive session and folk music.
This gathering was not only a gesture of respect and appreciation but also an opportunity for engaging conversations and heartfelt connections.
Adding to the event’s charm, cultural music performances by local artists ensured a memorable experience for all attendees. These performances celebrated “our rich cultural heritage and provided delightful entertainment.”
The programme’s primary aim was to reassure senior citizens without familial support that “our organization and the district are always here to offer unwavering support and care.” “It was a remarkable sight to see district administration officials interacting with the senior citizens,” said Sami Wani.
Ghulam Mohammed, a senior citizen, praised the event and the administration for organising it, saying it gave people like him a chance to enjoy and cherish memorable moments.
The event saw participation from dignitaries such as Additional Deputy Development Commissioner Mushtaq Ahmed Simnani, Additional Deputy Commissioner Gulzar Ahmed, and Senior Superintendent of Police Owais Qadri, along with other respected citizens. The event took place on the lawn by the Sind River, with the renowned folk artist Noor Mohammed captivating senior citizens.
